About Us

Maidenhead Musical Comedy Society (MMCS), was formed on 15th November 1966 by Betty and Roy Gaunt and Eric Wimpenny. The first show was presented in the Desborough Suite, Maidenhead in 1967. Over the years we have performed a whole host of amateur musical productions including South Pacific, Chicago, Cabaret, Calamity Jane, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, Crazy For You, with the most recent show being The Wedding Singer.

We perform two musicals a year at the Desborough Suite, (usually October and April) and through the reputation which the society has, attract a vast audience and support.

We rehearse on Tuesdays in St Mark's Methodist Church, Maidenhead and Wednesdays at Taplow Village Hall.
